LUIS CORTES NAMED FLEET AND CHAUFFEUR MANAGER AT TEDDY’S TRANSPORTATION SYSTEM, INC.
NORWALK, CT – December 31, 2010 – Luis E. Cortes of Stamford, CT, has been named Fleet and Chauffeur Manager at Teddy’s Transportation System, Inc., a global ground transportation company based in Norwalk, CT. In this new position, Mr. Cortes will be responsible for monitoring the fleet’s mechanical operations, insurance and legal compliance, as well as recruiting and training chauffeurs and monitoring their performance.

Following on a five-year career as a limousine driver for Rudy’s Limousine of Greenwich, CT, in 1986 Mr. Cortes founded his own company in Stamford, CT, New England Limousine, Inc. From 1986 – 2000 Mr. Cortes served as his company’s General Manager and Principal, growing it into a thriving, multi-million dollar business that provided chauffeured transportation to the region’s business executives. In 2000 he negotiated the company’s sale to Executive Transportation Group of Brooklyn, NY, and served as that company’s Fleet Manager through 2008. During that time, he led business development efforts for the Connecticut region and played a key role in the acquisition of VIP Limousine of Connecticut. Prior to joining Teddy’s Transportation System, Mr. Cortes had most recently been working as an independent transportation consultant, based in Suffern, NY.
